Four Panel style custom boxes often include end closure panels and flaps which are fastened in a variety of ways to create tuck end, seal end, or lock end closure devices.

In the RTE box, the top closure hinges off the front panel and tucks to the rear, while the bottom closure hinges off the rear and tucks to the front. This style is the most common preferred style of box, since it presents a more finished appearance and better designing possibilities. In the STE box, the top and bottom closure panels tuck from the rear to the front or from the front to the rear. It is particularly well suited for products requiring a paper box with a window in the front display panel. The STE is commonly used for medical boxes, cosmetic boxes, automotive boxes, bakery boxes, candy boxes, cannabis boxes,  food boxes, pharmaceutical packaging boxes, and  retail boxes 

The STE with Hang Tab box is used for small, light products. It is an ideal point of purchase display to be placed on a peg.

The STE with Side Hang Tab box is a common way of developing a header panel or hang card. It can be oriented with the header card up or to the side.

The Seal End box is typically erected, filled and closed by packaging equipment.

The TTSLB box is used almost exclusively as a bottom closure, generally in combination with a tuck top closure. This is a hand erected and closed style.

The TTAB box is glued on the bottom by the folding carton manufacturer. The glued bottom allows the box to support heavier products.

A Sleeve is frequently used as a slip on cover over a tray or directly on the product. It is a low cost packaging solution which allows the product to be viewed from the sides or from the top and bottom.

The Gable Top with Auto Bottom is a hand set up, loaded and closed box with its primary use in (fast food industry) and custom bakery boxes, custom candy boxes, and custom cosmetic boxes. It is quick and easy to erect and close, plus it has a convenient carrying handle. Its style attracts a lot of attention.

The Bag Box with Auto Bottom is glued on the bottom by the folding carton manufacturer and allows for quick loading. It is primarily used for custom bakery boxes, custom candy boxes, custom cosmetic boxes, and custom food boxes.
